I struggled to tame the noise in this capture. Does it look acceptable or should I forgo 800 ISO forever in my old 5D? I made a pass over the BG with Noise Ninja and a second over the entire image but dialed the last pass back to 39% opacity.

Great behavior Dean !!! Both birds sharp and well exposed Can soften the bg a bit if you want Do like the image very much !!!

Noise wise would try a different program Have been using Topaz and Noiseware is also excellent These seem to get rid of noise and have little effect on the sharpness !!!

    Hi Dean,
I like the the capture in its natural habitat...well done...birds are sharp and like the wing spread...
