    Default wild dog hunting

Taken at Madikwe game reserve , South Africa. We came across ten adult Wild dogs hunting early one morning , they all split up to look for prey... I could not believe the speed and chaos that these animals create when hunting..

Fantastic image, Peter. The elevated legs, look of determination and focus on the dog's face make this a priceless shot. Congratulations on capturing this moment so well.

Great pose captured, I also like the sharpness and composition. The light looks a bit harsh and I would tone down the overexposed whites.

I remember watching a movie about the clever way in which wild dogs hunt as a group.

Wonderful image with lots of dynamic aspects as Axel mentioned, the raised fore paws being the best for me. You might try a reverse curves layer to tone down the harshness a little - other than that I don't see any other changes that would make this any better.

A magical moment captured, I have been very lucky in the past with Wid Dogs, but have never managed a running shot from the front.

The light seems a little harsh, I think that a little less contrast would help.

    Hey Peter,
Superb action and pose. Try the reverse s-curve Rich mentions (Robert A. has it here; http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=20434
Will definitely tame some of the contrast and allow you to further tone down the whites. Hope it works because the other stuff is perfect.

I love the moment you captured with the front paws off the ground. Excellent work, handled light well. Agree with Axel about toning whites down a touch.

Great coming toward you capture with the front feet off the ground! If you can manage the contrast as per Roman's suggestion, it would be stunning.

This image has great emotional impact. I can almost see the dog salivating as its eyes lock onto their target. Very compelling.
