As we had a long weekend in South Africa, I went down to the South Coast - south of Durban. We had a house on the beach, so I was able to shoot a couple of marine birds by just walking onto the beach.

I especially like gulls with juvenile plumage, Great job on the exposure and nice wing position. Love the sky/ocean BG and sharpness. I wish he gave you a better head angle and I'd also like more room to the right if you had some. Congrats

Very nice light and wing position. Nice catch light and good placement in frame. Head is on the clear from wings and change of color in horizon. Light angle not ideal (from low right side) but light is soft, so it's acceptable.
    Way to go!

I like the soft light, underwing details, fanned tail and eye contact. It would be even stronger if the far wing were further down.

Love the details and the light. The dual BG is awesome!

I like the colour, comp, Bg, detail and light.
Stu is there a bit of noise below the wings?

    Hey bro
Easy to add a bit more room on RHS. HA not quite ideal, but I very much like everything about your image, the light, pose, BG though an off center horizon would have probably been better.
    Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks mate. I actually had loads of room on the right, I just cropped this to vertical.
