What a beauty, Mital. Just a little more room at the bottom I think would be nice. Still, just a fantastic image. So nice to have the pair like this and in such soft light.

this is a full frame as i was under the gypsy due to very hot in open and the cranes came so close and we thought if we get out we might disturb them and we may loose this close opportunity so please bear with me on this one..

i could have reduce the focal lenght yes but sometimes excitement of having so close to this beautiful giant and you forget everything except clicking some nice moment..

next time should keep in mind.. :)

Great image for sure, considering the bottom I believe it would be possible to engineer (with a major effort) canvas
addition there, you've got a patch of water you could use. I might try it later...

The pose on the birds and the composition is fantastic, the birds are a dream. Very pleasing image.

For me, the two intersecting birds don't work. Cut-off feet have been mentioned. In fact, it may need room to the top, right and bottom. Somewhat surprised both birds are so sharp at F8, 400 mm and full frame. JR

Personally speaking, I am just happy to see a picture of this extremely endangered bird (we have had 3 in the past week!), no wonder you were excited. I agree entirely with scubablue!

like the repost more for space but the original post has more punch, maybe you skipped a few of your normal processing steps when reworking? lovely birds and the 2 standing so close to each other tricks the eye into which is which :)

    true morkel,
i did not work more on this to maintain the old look..

actually on the original one there is more contrast and shadow part which i didnt added and kept bit of smooth look. as i liked this look too :)

Sometimes if I have this situation I take an extra photo or two of the area that I might want to patch in later. Frame the original image and lock the exposure first though so that you don't end up with two different exposures.

The repost does look beter Mital. I like the colours and detail captured but I am not mad about the comp with the back bird,s bill being obscured.

I love the repost! First, I didn't care for the merging heads, but after looking at it for a few seconds, I bought the pose, because of the eyes. Well seen, Mital.

I like the composition of the repost much better and would just increase contrast a few points.

The repost looks great with the extra room. Great details, and you got them both sharp. Congrats for this fine image.
