    adjusted contrast and saturation a bit. NR in define 2.0

    Comments and suggestions welcome > is the sharpness Ok in the heron, Cropping?

    Hi Bob

    I like a lot of thing in this image particularly bird placement and space given. Also the tech settings Going to he higher ISO is just fine, gave you a reasonable shutter speed to insure a sharp image and you know the D-300 is a good performer .... and cleaning up is no big deal !!! Excellent !!!!

    Somehow I really like the water pattern at the top, can't tell why, maybe it balances the mud nicely. Wish that the tip of the branch on the left would stand out the mud more. I might try to sharpen the head a little bit more and see what happen. As for the cropping, I like this as it is.

    I like this as presented, you have good sharp details with a good head angle and sharp eye...I like the bird's habitat...:cool:

    It's all working for me Bob. Very nice image! Sharpness seems fine and the composition is well-balanced and pleasing. I like some space like this for the bigger birds. Nice colors too...

    that is one big honking perch and i like it!! this all works for me too, bob. really well done with the compo and way to bump that iso to get some shutterspeed.
