    Default My Bonnie...

Bonaparte's Gull from this morning at Point of Pines, Revere MA.
I toned down the neck a bit although it was not burned at all.
Interestingly, I had quite of color noise on the water, I'd guess
the water got underexposed because I metered against the whites on the bird.
Adjusted in ACR and additional noise reduction in BG.

BTW one of the smallest N American Gulls. Very playful and delightful birds. One of my favorites.
    CC appreciated as always.

You did as well as you could have here. Good EXP, COMP, and SH. My oly wish is that you would have better paralleled the bird.

Great control of the whites. Like the largely grey background but which still has some colorations in places. JR

I know, but this is B&W bird, I could saturate the blues bit more, will do next time.
    Thanks for suggestion...

Huh? My point was that I liked it as it was. I would not saturate any of the colors in this image. JR

Oops, Sorry:o I read "which" as "wish". I'm glad you like it. I do in general saturate the blues a bit in images like this though.
    Sorry again, my fault:D

I like the angle, sharpness and eye contact. Adding to the other comments, I would crop it a bit tighter, especially at the top.
