Perfect downward stroke you captured here. Nice light, and I like the overall golden/brown tones of the image. In a perfect world the flowers would not merge with the wing but we cannot always control these things :-) I also wish for a better head angle. Did you do some post-processing in the ULC and extending down and along above the harrier's tail/back?

Thanks Dan, No I did not post process ULC, it looks as if it has been retouched but it's all from OOF patches in BG which have been accidenatally aligned almost perfectly with the tail!!!

It is possible to clone out the flowers, but I left is as a part of habitat.

Love the downstroke! I wish for a better HA, that's all. Hope you got one, if not, next time! I love the warm colors mate. :)

While a perfect traditional HA would have it turned toward you a bit, I like the way this one indicates intense fixation on a target.

Great sharpness against the busy background. There does seem to be a cloning artifact just atop the white patch in the tail. It follows the outline of the bird. Other nits have been mentioned.

    Great pic! JR

Beautiful light, color, and detail... very pleasing look to this image for me. HA does not bother me as it displays the very natural look of being on the hunt. Very well done.

for me the HA is fine, you can see the eye and the beak after all. lovely exposure and pose, and pops really nicely.

Love the colour combinations. Good feather detail and like the wing position.

Incredible colours! Head angle no issue for me, I might consider removing some of the darker twigs below.
