This bird has visited my backyard several times in the last week or two. I was wondering if anyone could help with some ID? Thanks in advance.

Looks like a female Red-winged Blackbird, and I suspect that what seems to be a lot of black on the side of the face may be to some extent a trick of the light.

This bird appears to be a Grosbeak. The very coarse striping on the breast could indicate a Rose-Breasted Grosbeak. However, there is a lot of variability in first summer males in both Black-Headed and Rose-Breasted species. It may also be a hybrid.

Not with that beak Paul. Here is a typical Red-winged Blackbird female.
