    D3, 600, ISO 250, f7, 1/500, -0.3 EV.

This was a set up shot we did on one of my Spring workshops in South Texas. We had quite a few species munching on the berries. Can't wait to get back there.

Just about perfect. Great light, perch, HA, and BG. I love the berry in the birds beak.

    Well Done!

Beautiful bird on a beautiful perch and a great BG to boot! well done. It looks like you've caught him in the middle of a step (left leg up)

That is gorgeous bird, the contrast of the green with the red berries is perfect. Nice clean look, and the berry in the beak just makes it perfect. Great as always.
One thing to note is that although the tail is covered by the plant it does not ruin the composition since the berries are perfectly included in it against the clean BG. Nicely done set-up.

Fantastic shot. Wonderful perch. The food in the bird's mouth is a great bonus.

    Alan,

If I was ever going to publish a coffee table picture book on green jays, I think this'd be my cover image. Excellent work!

Beautiful capture of this guy. We had such a great time down there with these comical Jays !
    Berries really add to this.

    Lovely colors and BG.
Those cherries look sweet! If anything, I would tone down the perch, seems too bright on my monitor.
