Default Atlantic Puffin in the midnight sun...

I laid down a few meters away from their holes, late one night. After about 15 minutes they landed on the cliff's edge and accepted my presence.
10 minutes later, about 30 Puffins had landed on the edge, a few meters away from me. Some of them actually walked up to me to get a better look. I could have easily touched one of them...
I wasn't wearing any camouflage clothing, and made a few quick movements, but it didn't seem to bother them...

Those birds sure are a curious bunch!
This photo is taken somewhere around 11 PM...

    Hi Gunnar,
Great moment, gorgeous light and BG. My only suggestion would be to add some canvas on the bottom.

That is an awesome portrait. Love the midnight light. Wish we had that in OZ. You'd never see me sleeping! :D If anything, perhaps a little more grass in the FG would be great! :)

Good EXP and sharp, and yes, they are tame. This one needed to be a VERT; you stuffed a tall bird barely into a HORZ frame.... And you needed to move left a bit as the bird, esp. the head, is angled away from you.

Lovely light, BG, and exposure. Adding on the other comments, there is a small dust spot directly in front of the beak. Should be easy to remove.

I like the angle and light in this one. Another vote for a vertical crop, more room at the bottom and I would tone down the highlights a bit.

The crop looks fine IMO, just requires some space at the bottom.. loved the details and the grass adds well to the frame.. congrats..

Not a VERT crop, but a VERT capture to allow for more grass on the bottom. I would be fine with a HORZ if you had moved two yards back... As presented the virtual feet are virtually clipped.

Like the light and colours. The BG is great. Agree with the rest on vertical crop.
Shot at 11:00pm 'Midnight light' wow! In Indian sun sets by 6:30pm and that's it.
