GBH portrait silhouette.
With the early morning sun shining a golden light on the mist-covered pond and a readily cooperative Great-blue Heron in perfect place it was only natural to think "Silhouette!!" A few scraggly hairs were cloned out on top of the head, but I love the lone backlit one behind :-)
Canon 40D + 100-400L @ 400mm, aperture priority, evaluative metering, 1/800s., f/8, ISO 200, -1.7 EC, handheld, very slight crop for comp.
Very striking and pleasing Daniel. Very well done. That lone "hair" a nice touch.
Very nice, what I relly like here is that the BG is not completely flat,
but shows a nice texture. The backlit edges are done perfectly.
Wow, the thumbnail doesn't do this justice. I wasn't expecting much until I open the image. I like love the background. the colors are great and really like the gradation of color from left to right. I also find the rim lighting very pleasing. For my taste/opinion I wouldn't change a thing. Congratulations on a very nice image.
