Very nice portrait and good exposure control and BG. I would have stopped down more since the shutter speed was quite high.

Very nice portrait. I would have maybe increased the depth of field a bit. Looks like you had the light on your side.

Agree with whats been said, would have been nice to get a little more of the puffin in focus. Still a stunning portrait and beautiful job on the eye. Colors and BG are lovely.

bob this is really beautiful capture.
i am totally agree with the point Axel wrote and i do suggest one more thing.
as this is a nice close i feel that increasing aperture may be f8 may gave you a nice entire gallore in focus.

    Bob,

Spectacular puffin portrait! I'm blown away by all the detail in the face, particularly the eye. The shallow DOF doesn't bother me too much but I can see what the others are saying. Top marks!

Lovely portrait with a great BG. Could have gone with more DOF IMO. Nice job with the exposure.

Love the green BKGR and agree with a bit more d-o-f as the body feathers do not look really sharp.

Superb portrait. I think the blacks aren't deep enough. Great eye contact !
