Good looking raptor, and I like the windswept feathers. Nice BG with the smooth clouds at the top half. I do wish for a less steep viewing angle.

I like the diagonals that the perch and the pose of the bird introduces into the image. In my opinion a less steep angle would have made this a stronger image.

Also agree with whats been said about the steep angle and a little more head turn towards you would have improved this image. Never the less this is an outstanding photo of a beautiful bird. Exposure is spot on and I like the perch. Congrats

Steep angle has already been mentioned Ken. Otherwise, this is quite superb! VWD

    Ken,

Sure, it's low angle but the sharpness and detail put it over the top for me. Congrats!

Thanks for the kind and constructive comments.
With regard to the steep viewing angle I agree that it would be nice if birds and raptors in particular sometimes perched at a lower level, unfortunately this rarely happens.
Whilst the perfect game viewing vehicle has yet to be designed I can now add to my wishes for opening panels at a lower level the provision of a "cherry picker".
