Or at least, he should be :) He was seven days ol when this picture was taken, and he was foraging by himself, because Snowy Plovers do not get fed by Mommy. They are taught how to do it. I guess they were the creators of Tough Love.

    Hi Fabs,
This one cracked me up....just put a smile on my face! Just look at that akwardness! Sweet pose and the shell only further adds to the overall appeal.

Wow Fabs, looks beautiful, the foraging pose really makes this, the angle is great and the shell adds well, I would suggest one round of NR on the BG and a personally choice would be to move the chick a bit more to the top left corner.. but I loved this, congrats..

Made me smile too. A ball of cotton with legs! I like the addition of the seashell.

Fabs, This is absolutely adorable -does look like a cotton ball with legs. I love the pose w/ the raised foot. The shells add alot to the composition.

It looks like an alien! Lovely comp, and simple but very effective setting. I love the pebbles! I wonder if it could use a bump in contrast and colour or was this purposely done? Anyway great shot!

Cute bird, cool pose and I like the composition and angle. Did you add the catchlight?

The parents may not feed the little ones but they are pretty busy defending them from predators.

Very adorable indeed Fabs. Perfect pose, love the lifted leg. :) Precocial chicks all are self dependent and are programmed to forage for food from the moment they hatch. Cool if you ask me. Only baby sitting required. :D

Very nice. I also like the inclusion of the shell. The raised foot and head angle are also very pleasing. Thanks for sharing.

Stunning...such an incredibly cute little fluffbal flying along the beach. Excellent work to catch these fast little runners. The "surroundings" are really great too. A very enjoyable image, Fabs!

The pose with the dragging leg puts this over the top for me. Excellent exposure, sharp, and love the soft light and colours in this. Great image Fabs.

In my last post I awarded 11/10 for cuteness I cannot think of a number that would be adequate here. Everything about this is magical the pose the background and the shell.

    Thanks, everyone.
Yes, I see the noise now, I didn't use any noise reduction, bad on me :(
Axel, catch light was enhanced over the weak existing one.
