    Default Last Sanderling (for now)

I liked the light and raised foot on this one. Closest they got to me before flying away. This has a slight crop from the top and right. Hope you like it. All C/C appreciated.

    Brian:

Nice composition overall, might crop the tiniest bit from left side, really like the bubbles as they echo the shape of the rocks.

The background needs a bit of noise reduction, and I might consider just a bit of USM on the head and eye.

Very nice feel to the image.

Nice image. The foot up adds interest. I'd like it even more with a bit more in the foreground and a bit less on the top

A little NR on the BG Brian and you have a neat image (no pun intended). I may crop a smidgen from the left and top. Thanks for sharing. Lovely!

Hi Brian, Ive enjoyed your Sanderling series, and I feel this is your best to date. Sweet light, well exposed, and the raised foot does add to the image. The low angle works well, and I like the bubbles from the surf. I would maybe lighten the eye a bit. Well captured.

I like the typical pose and detail in the plumage.

    Brian,

Love the warm colors on this little guy. Nicely exposed, good detail in the whites. All techs already mentioned.

Nice warm light. Exp looks great. You could try sharpening a bit more, but I like it as is.

I appreciate everyone here for all their help. I took some room away from the left and some from the top and Resharpened the bird. I also slightly lightened the eye, couldn't go any further as it started to look funky. To me it looks better but I've been staring at it for a while, let me know if it's an improvement. Thanks for all the positive comments and critiques.

Excellent image, really good soft light on the bird and nice blue tone in the BG.
Randy covered the NR in BG, perhaps bit of different crop as well. Very nice image.
    Congrats!

Oops you re-posted while I was typing. Now it is even better. Great work.
