That looks like one friendly bird! Great low angle, and this ensured rendering the BG grasses as a nice BG blur. I would tone down the bright reflection on the bill, and crop some off the bottom.
Agree with what everyone said. Love that low angle and sharpness is killer. Only time you see birds this colorful here is either at the zoo or pet store. Bravo
Oshkosh, The right half of the image so overpowers the left half that I created this emphasizing the strength of the image. Also bill sheen repair and eliminated a few shiny feathers on the back.

Thank you guys. Artie, I like your crop. I do find it painful to compose with parrots or crop and present as they have such long and thin, insignificant, tails.
Great idea! :)
I love this Lorikeet and wish we had them here in India too :) .. The colors are so brilliant and love this low angle .. I loved how Arthur has cropped it to bring a balance in composition .. I feel a hint of sheen is good to my eyes so I would have preferred partial reduction of sheen instead of removing it by this way the 3D feel of the beak is retained
Hey Akos, amazing colours captured, and you have done very well not to have oversaturated them. Great exposure sharp, and agree with taking some off the bottom. Great image mate.
This is a remarkable bird, I do hope you will enjoy the following extract
"The Rainbow is a popular pet bird in Australia, with probably several thousand being sold each year. Even if not hand reared, a young bird will rapidly become very tame, and be a constant source of amusement. They are constantly playing, with behaviour at times more reminiscent of a kitten than a bird. One of their favourite tricks is to go to sleep lying on their back with feet up in the air, looking rather dead, until the sceam of horror wakes them up and they bound to their feet! "
Do you think it may be related in anyway to the Norwegian Blue? (this joke may only be understood by our older readers)
Thanks folks for the constructive feedback. I sincerely appreciate your time. :)
Ken, that is a cracker! I never knew they sleep like that! Cool. they are certainly colorful little characters for their personalities as well. Little clowns. But so are our Sulphur-crested Cockatoos too.
That's one cracker of an image and bird Akos. I have never seen anything so colourful. Cropping the OOF foreground did improve the composition. wow! can't take my eyes of this image.
