I used a 1D Mark III for the burst and buffer rate when shooting the fast paced action, and a 1Ds Mark III for the slower paced imagery.Choosing the right tool for the job at hand allowed me to maximize the image making potential.

    1D Mark III, 70-200 @ 200mm
Manual, Eval off river bank (no comp), 1/1000 @ f/5, ISO 400
    Post-production- LR2, CS4

See you where there is light, or at the computer

    Best,

    Chas

The dynamic pose, splash and composition make this one for me. I also like the sharpening since these droplets look easily oversharpened.

    Hey Chas,
You really nailed the radial swirl of the battle. The dark grass BG really makes it stand out too. Very nicely done!

I like the elliptical water orbit around the bear and how he is emerging from the midst of it... too good, great action.

    Chas,
This is a lovely image. You have captured the water droplets nicely. The diagonal water is like Saturn with its asteroids moving around it. I like it.

    Cheers,

The water drops emphasize the movent and its direction which makes this shot for me. Love the fish and setting also. Congrats!

I really like this. Often when I see photos with water droplets, they obstruct some of the action and detract from the image. But not here. I guess the perfect timing in this shot is made easier with a high speed burst. It really worked well in this image. I would be proud to have captured it. Well done, Chas.

Super action shot, perfect focus with the head and salmon peering nicely through all the droplets. Nice work.
