From last Saturday morning, it was very early and the Brant was feeding in the shade of a tree, I waited a few minutes and he turned towards me and stepped into the sunlight. Canon 20D with 200 F/2.8L, F/7.1 @ 1/640 sec, ISO 400, manual exposure.
This "rare" guy sure has been providing us with good opportunities these last few weeks. You may be able to recuperate the hot whites in RAW. I hope this guy sticks around when his primaries are grown back as that will give it some nice dark feathers to cover much of the large white area :-)
i go with andy for a low angle and you may have easily manage to get with such good shot. anyways keep it for next. this is a superb image and superb exposure.
