Default End of a Hard Day

I imagine this wild stallion was glad the day was over.

David, Is that blood on his side? Beautiful light and his tail swooped up is nice. I wish his eye was visible.

The light in this one is beautiful and the beauty of the horse and the surroundings juxtaposed with the battle scars to me say it all; how tough it must be to survive in the wild.

The environment is so beautiful and nicely included. Do wish for a bit more eye showing.

    Hey David,
That's some sweet light! It shows the battle scars nicely but do agree I too wish for a bit more eye contact. Ilike the way the 2 trees frame him too.

Nice image David. I like the way the mane is falling over its head. Good composition. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful light on a subject that has a story. The battle scars easily identify this guy as someone who has lived a hard life in the wild. A bit more eye contact would have made this even better, but we never (or at least very seldom) have control over that.

Denise - those are wounds from his battling another stallion that day... successfully this time.

More eye contact (or should I say any eye contact) would have been nice. Then again, one of the attractions of a wild horse is the long mane and tail that never get a trim.

My favorite of yours after the pair you posted and got IOW. Very nice light, pose, low angle and sky.

David, the image is lovely and tells a story without narration. Well done.
