Simon Bennett and I put up a hide at Bowra on the first morning and over the next few days we had some good sessions.

Great job on the exposure here, and good timing with the raised foot. I love the lowish angle too and this helped give you a beautifully smooth BG. The OOF grasses are somewhat distracting and should be easy to eliminate if you wish to do so. I would also suggest making the red iris more prominent by lightening it a bit. Good job!!

This is really nice. Great lighting and BG. I would also give a bit less space to the rear. On my monitor the blacks look a little dark and I wonder if they need to be opened up a bit.

Really nice angle of view and details. Like the suggestion of a tad more canvas, iris and reed in front of that raised foot which I feel will enhance a pretty cool shot. Thanks for sharing.

Nice low angle, BG, exposure, detail and sharpness. If anything I'd place the bird a little more to the left and clone out the reed in front of the feet, but it is just minor detail. Very nice as posted as well. Congratulations.

Excellent exposure, pin sharp, and I like the slightly raised foot. I would liked to have seen more red in the eye, as we have the same species here, and their eyes are bright red. I dont mind the grasses around in the water, but the single grass in front of the foot is a bit distracting. Killer BG Rob
