    A stellar morning at a local pond. Great light and a great variety of birds. Not sure of the ID on this one so any help would be appriciated.

    Hi Joe, I think you have a Semipalmated Sandpiper. I like the wedge of land dividing the FG water from the BG water. I think in this type of shot it might be good to have the same amount of space below the reflection as above the bird. I only wish the stray feathers were not on the mud flat with the bird.

    I like the eye contact and mood in this one. I agree regarding cropping some off the top and removing the feather behind the bird. The whites are not overexposed but I would tone them down a bit more.

    Molting adult Semipalmated Sandper, female (note the proportionately long bill). Joe, was this JBWR?
