Created just before sunrise on the flats of Ft Myers Beach. The catchlight is the predawn glow in the east. Had to add alot of light (thus slower shutter) but I like the colors and even the softness on this one. About a 50% crop as this beauty wouldn't come closer or give up a slightly better HA.

I like the angle and soft light and also wish for a better head angle. If it were mine I would sharpen the bird more and crop a tad off the top.

Thanks as always Axel. I am finding for some (like this one) images I lose some sharpness due to the 200K limit. This only happens when image needs stronger sharpening (again like this one due to low light). It actually is sharper at 300K (maximum quality range).

Ditto Axel on all counts. Will only add that it would have been nice to see the feet.

I like the light and softer colours, and the low angle is spot on. As this is a fairly large crop, Im not sure sharpening is going to work, but would love to see the result.
