This bird and I have really bonded. After the other photographers departed yesterday morning, he came down from his high perch and we spent about half an hour together.

Amazing pose and nice to be at eye level. Exposure has recorded good detail in the dark tones but the light tones look overdone - may be worth processing 2 versions of the raw file and combining them to maximise shadow and highlight detail.

I like the pose, open beak and eye contact. Another vote for toning down the highlights, EC +1.33 in this kind of light is a bit much. I would also give it more room top and bottom.

Axel nailed the techs for me too. Love the pose and scream! You must have had an incredible time! :)

COMP good and cool screaming pose but I am thinking that the others had left because the sun had gotten too high and the light too harsh.

Great moment captured! I agree with the mentioned observations and would like to add that the plumage comes across rather blue on my monitor.

Excellent work on the blacks, and I like the calling pose with the open beak. I would maybe try and darken the BG a bit.
