Hi Stuart. Nice sharpness, good eye contact, and excellent wing position. I like the dangling feet; too bad about the bands. I notice a halo around the bird, particularly the lower wing. And I might move the bird to the right of the frame.

This is lovely Stuart. Like the suggestion to move the bird, but for me, I'd move it to the right so there is more room in front.. darn we are a fussy lot! :). See the halos as mentioned on the wing tips. Beautiful all the same, with fabulous detail and light quality.

    Stuart:

Very nice wing display, well exposed, sharp. Too bad #7 primary is missing from the top wing.

I have kind of mixed feelings about the light angle. It does show more definition by casting shadows, but I also find the shadows a bit distracting. The head is well illuminated which is a big plus.

As far as comp, I am with David, move the bird to the right. I think that is what Doug really meant too ? :)

I agree on moving. I would also try to clone out the foot-bands if you're okay with that. lovely pose and exposure!

Also not mad about the jewellery and would clone it out. I like the detail captured on the wing feathers. I would also add a bit of sats to the bill eye and legs.
