    Default The Pose

    Hello to all :)

Here's an image taken 2 weeks ago at the Montreal Botanical Garden. This Cooper's Hawk is wild and free but they're 5 young birds who are not affraid of human. They're so addictive to observe in their learning and behaviours

This picture is full frame. The PP are brightness , smart sharpen and Noise Ninja on the BG , that's all.

    Model Canon EOS 40D
    Flash Used No
    Focal Length 400 mm
    Exposure Time 1/125 sec
    Aperture f/8
    ISO Equivalent 320
    Exposure Bias -1/3

    Have a nice day !

    Dom :)

I can see that you could get hooked on these! Super elegant pose and lots of great detail. I would be tempted to simplify the perch area as the various twigs and branches are somewhat of a distraction.

    Enjoy the great opportunity!

beautiful pose and details, would suggest cloneing out the bottom branches and run a round of blurring on the BG.

Share the above thoughts on clearing the branches and also the copyright is a little distracting...

what a beautiful pose and image this is.
the only suggestion is to reduce the size of your copyright tag and make sure it dosent overlay to the main subject.

All points covered above most particularly the branches and copyright tag.

Beautiful bird and a good poser too.

Super comp, and love the eye contact. I like the light and detail in this, and stands out nicely against the BG.

Nice job on the exposure. Great to find a Cooper's Hawk that is so cooperative.

Thanks to all for your comments and suggestions :)

I'm sorry for the size of my © but that's the smallest size I can tolerate after someone have stolen my images :( I know that will not prevent someone to stole my images again but it's an additional warning ;) If someone stole your images , surely you'll have another point of view about the size.

I agree with Mital for the overlay on the bird , next time I'll pay more attention.

For the little branches , I should have removed some of them maybe but not all because I find they're like a support for the main branch.

    Charlie , they are 5 juveniles Coopers Hawks... all cooperatives !!! I know , I'm lucky ;) I made over 800 images in 8 hours !

Thanks again for your fair analyse of my image !

    Dom :)
