Tried out the 1D MarkIII this morning and found this tern in early morning light. AF seemed to work well on the blue dot version.

Isak very glad to hear your Mk3 is working well !!!!!!!!

I like the light and pose Not crazy about the perch and reflection Particularly the reflection If you look at the image cropped just at the base of the perch it looks totally different

Got a lot of good things going on I can see the eye which is a tough thing to do under this light Wing position is very good A slightly better light angle would have helped with the body !!!

This is really beautiful light. I have to say that this is one time where I don't like the reflection.

I like the wing position and light: both mentioned. The colors are fantastic. I agree that the reflection needs to go with a crop. Great job capturing the peak action.

Lovely light and wing position, Isak. I like the shaodow of teh near wing on the undersurface of teh far wing and great to have light on the head. Agree about the reflection and perch. Nice BG.Great timing

A good crop would take this one and turn it into a real winner, more than it is. Lovely wings!

Another vote for cropping the reflection. Maybe if it was complete and still, it would have helped the image. As it is, it takes away from it.

Glad your new toy is working for you!
