I like the silhouette, but find the sun overpowering and distracting.

Agree with Ken as well, it would be greatly improved with the Sun toned down.
    Very nice composition nonetheless.

Highlight at the bears feet really adds power, I think this would be perfect without the sun altogether.

I would prefer a toned down sun rather than cropping it out...

the following birds give this image real impact.
    well done

Wonderful image Sid. Prefer the sun toned down too and see some dirt on sensor marks. Worth some TLC. Nice one!

    Hey Sid,
OK.....I'll be in the minority here......I like it as presented! Killer pose on the bear and the birds following is really a nice bonus. Very nice look and feel to this one but it would be interesting to see the toned down sun for comparison.

You have received great advice here. I like the original post, but REALLY like it when I scroll down to eliminate the Sun. Of course the dust must go. Rock is optional, but I would remove it. I would also print this big and hang it in my home.

    Hi Sid,
Nice image. I feel the Sun is a bit bright for my taste. Without the sun it would look good in my opinion, as I like the silhouette of the birds and the bear.

    Cheers,

The gulls make this a great image, everything superb, including the sun, except for the dust-spots already mentioned by Peter and others

For the reflection of the Bear makes the image. The Gulls add to image. Like the composition and would not tone it down. Dust spots are surely distracting.

Brilliant Composition and Execution !!! The Sun is really Powerful but without it the composition will loose balance but it surely needs to be toned down .. But it Brilliant even now !!
