I was out shooting bif when the storm clouds broke and the sun came out. I got so excited by the rainbow i did not adjust my aperture for deeper dof. I intensified the rainbow with a quick mask and saturation .What do you think of composition, sat, rainbow, cropping? all comments welcome

    Bob,

Nice balance, the picture has a foreground, middle and background. Nice earth tones and the bird flying among the rainbow, a great catch.

f/8 works alright, you did not mention any ISO but quality looks good maybe 200/400?

Great habitat shot, I love the environment pictures and this one is really good.

I like the composition, beautiful colors and the rainbow is a plus!. Only wish for the bird to be closer. Nice one!

    Hi Bob,
I like the composition, image and capture...the colors are beautiful...the rainbow is a plus...well captured. One recommendation would be to give the horizon line a tad of CW rotation...looking forward to your next one...

This image really holds my attention. The colors are good and the rainbow is perfect. I guess the f/8 worked as it appears to be sharp throughout.

    Hi Bob

Composition looks good with the horizon in the the middle which normally is not the case, love the tones and PS work realistic ... easy to go over with the rainbow.

Your selected aperture worked but would have suggested to stop down, having at the max end 200mm shutter speed could have been lowered safely Excellent image !!!

Good comp. The angle of the water (wider on the left) balances the angle of the sky (moving to the right from the trees on the left.) Sometimes we have these "quickie" opportunities come up and you took great advantage of yours.
