Here's a repost of the heron I posted during Reflections week. I'm working on Dap - this was Benson.

    Comments and suggestions greatly appreciated:)

a very nice look Cheryl.....a super image for DAP.
Benson is my fav, but have been doing a lot of play in Monet lately.
I find that I like 1200 to 1600px input images and render at 10mpx....usually 8k to 12k strokes

Dave, I'll try your input image technique (if I can figure it out). I've been using TIF images so they're large
but haven't changed the resolution at all. Thanks!:)

    I have finished nice 12 x 16 at 200ppi from a small 800px image.
The "paint" is a totally new image......sometimes less detail in the smaller original is a plus.

Thanks everyone - I'll try Dave's suggestion this weekend when I've got time to experiment.
