oof branch in foreground cloned out, vignette applied in PS.
This bird was on the dropping branch of a cherry tree hence the downward slope to the perch and bird. I have considered rotating it but prefer it as it was relative to horizontal.
comments and advice appreciated
Nice-looking bird, perch and BG. As for the rotation, this depends if you have more room on the right since the tail already is quite close to the edge. As it is now, I might clone the two small pieces of lichen right of the tail.
Lovely image Tony, I wouldn't rotate it as this is a typical pose. The chestnut flanks are like the Tasmanian race over here - looks like its ancestors headed east instead of south on migration.

Congrats Tony. This one is pretty special; I love everything about it. Would get rid of the single thread of lichen that touches the wing and definitely leave the ones behind the tail. A lovely bird perfectly positioned, a lovely COMP, and a lovely photograph.
later and love, artie

I don't think I'd rotate this one, Tony. I like the nice diagonals in the image. I really like it. I agree with Artie about the piece of lichen near the bird's wing, but disagree about the lichen near the tail (above the branch), I'd remove it.
