Dear friends.
I have enjoied taking pictures of Asian Openbill Stork in Thailand in a breeding colony where I could approach the nesting birds without any risk for the birds.
I like the attached picture but would have liked a blue and not a greyish sky behind - could be done in Photoshop.
Besides the problem (in my view) on changing elements in 'documentary stock photography' I feel that the up-side of the greyish sky is that the inner throuts of the begging chicks stand out more prominently what I find helpful.
Welcome to BPN, Soren! Must have been a great experience to photograph these birds. The interaction is great. I might add a bit canvas on the right and left side to get those two chicks in the frame, the BG doesn't bother me. You can post larger images up to 750 pixels on the longer side and it would be helpful if you could post the techs.
Welcome Soren, I like the sky as it is Do like high key images a lot It looks like you could have open up even more to render the whites!!! Posting the tech info would help Particularly aperture used
If you wish you could post larger (750) which will help with detail !!!
In PS you could change the sky color but agree with you it would not look natural
Wonderful interaction going on in this image, Soren. A little tight for me, the sky is ok, but it looks like a little too much fill flash used. Welcome to BPN and look forward to more of your posts...
