On this morning the missus pretty much stayed at the nest while papa provided the snails. This is from her first flight up to their favorite nest outlook perch. Created late morning at Loxahatchee.

Well this bird looks familiar. Nice catch… Good light on the body and wing. Perhaps a little soft on the beak and head. After everyone cleared out, the male came down to the low perch and we spent about ½ hour together. Photos to follow, I hope…

Gene is right that there is apparent softness on the face/eye. Wing position is not the best (higher up would have been great). Good exposure, and good basic comp.

I like the angle and exposure control and also wish the wings were higher up. Another vote for more sharpening.

Nice pose and light, but the feather detail is lacking a bit here. Maybe you have some other shots that are in better focus?
