Yes this looks OK- which is a huge under-statement. It looks fabulous! You have all the hallmarks of a great image in my opinion here- beautifully smooth, complementary BG, good perch, pose, and head angle. Is that a sun or flash catchlight in the eye? The only thing I would suggest as an improvement might be to try gently lightening and boosting the contrast of the image using Curves or Levels, although this might be just my monitor.

This is a great image, nice and sharp, and a beautiful bird. Love the BG too. To my eye it looks underexposed by a stop. Can you increase the exp in RAW or boost the highlights?

Apart from being a bit dark, this is a fine image indeed. Great pose, with a perfect HA. I wouldn't have minded if you had pointed your lens down more by about an inch or so.

    Sharpness looks good from here!

It is the setting sun. I will make the adjustments and repost.

Actually I did increase the brightness, but I guess it needs a bit more.

I agree about the brightness with the others.
Aside from that minor thing, this is an fantastic shot. Wonderful light, color and a perfect BG. The head turn is great and the sharpness perfect.

I agree with everything said above. Spectacular catch and beautiful species. Good sharpness and BG. I'd prefer less room to the left and a little more on the right. Congrats

I think light was fine to begin with. A very nice exposure to be sure. I would not change a thing…

Great angle, sharpness, light and BG. The repost looks better on my monitor. I only took the midtone slider to 1.20 to lighten the image.

    Dr. Pranay,
this is indeed a fantastic image.
i am just fan of your raptor series.

for specifically this image i like what Axel did and i've added a bit more to the image i've attached.
    plz share your views.

did some tonal contrast to bird and smoothness to bg and a step brighter.

there may be compression visible in bg but that is due to again and again of re-processing.. some patches visible on my lcd as well in bg but i focused more on bird and this is quick output. so plz bare with me.

    HI
Love the image. Period. I like all the little additions in processing and do feel the lighter version is a touch better. PErfect HA and if I may add, if this were mine I would crop about 1/3 from above the head. Thanks for sharing :)
