    Default Pine Grosbeak (female)

Taken last weekend in northern Minnesota at an area extremely reliable to see them at... the Sax-Zim bog area.

I like the pose, details, perch and BG. Maybe just a bit more space at the top. I'm wondering if a bit more saturation and/or contrast would improve it. Maybe something like this:

Dynamic pose and composition, Mike. Good use of DOF and lovely BG. I would be tempted to clone out the little white spots (?snow)

Ditto what Tony said. Very elegant. I prefer the re-post, esp. the canvas added at the top. My lone complaint: that you've cut off the lovely curved perch with the bottom frame edge...

Really nice work, Mike. I like what Axel has done to improve the image. Artie brings up a good point about compositional elements ending in the frame.

Hi MIke, nice image, I vote for the repost also and Artie got my point about the perch. Next time :)
