    Default Killdeer

I was going through some photo from 2009, and thought I would share this with all of you. This was shot from my car blind
    D90 with Sigma 150-500

Wow Derek- is your lens hole in the blind down at the running boards?! Fantastic, low angle, for a car blind. Love the warn colours, the grass FG is a killer, and I like the pose and head-angle. The only thing I would do is run over the darker areas of the BG with a soft blur tool in Ps to reduce the noise- a quick 10s job and nothing fancy needed.

I like the background and foreground grass. Great low angle of capture with good details. The head angle is pleasing to me. Overall one fine image. Thanks for sharing.

With the subject relatively small in the frame I wouldn't have minded seeing it placed even closer to the corner. Great low angle, especially coming from a car (was the terrain elevated a bit?) I wish the BG didn't have any gray areas...but it should be easy to clone in some of the colours on those areas. An additional round of sharpening on the bird would be good too for web presentation.

Excellent angle and comp. I happen to like the inconsistent BG here, it adds, doesn't distract over all - nice!

Thanks everyone. The Killdeer was elevated a bit, so I was able to get a nice low angle from the car. I will play with the background a little when I get a chance. The gray areas in the BG is a reflection off of a pond.
