    Canon 50D, Tokina 100mm f/2.8 @ f/8, 1/8s, Berlebach Mini tripod. Shot at the Schlangenberg naturereserve near Stolberg, NRW, Germany.

    Good looking insect, sharp and well exposed I like the smooth bg btw amzing sharpness for the slow shutter speed Not familiar with that tripod but will check it out !!!! btw all I could wish for was a more attractive perch but sure its a fine image I like it a lot !!!!

    It's from a small but very highly regarded company in Germany, they produce very nice tripods out of ash wood - which is excellent at dampening any vibrations. I might add that I had them manufacture a version for me that has elongated legs, so that I have a larger working range (of about 0 - 50cm height) for my macro excursions...

    Hi Karl,
    Agree with Al on this one and would just add that you may want to lighten the eye....just a bit if you are not against such things. Nice job!
