    Hi Folks

Apologies for my silence of late. I am still recovering from laser refractive corrective surgery a month ago that almost went disastrously wrong. Fortunately things are finally improving now and the doctors believe I should not retain any long term negative after effects of the post-operational complications. At the moment my eyesight is still a bit wobbly, therefore I have not been on the site of late, I will become more active again as my eyes improve. Looking forward to get back in the swing of things as soon as possible.

I photographed this young Lanner Falcon in the Kgalagadi earlier this year.

Camera Model: Canon EOS-1D Mark III

    Exposure mode: Tv
    Exposure compensation: +1/3
    Flash: Off
    Metering mode: Multi-segment
    ISO: 640
    Focal length: 500mm

Cool pose, sharpness, eye contact and BG, I also like the eye contact.

I hope your eyesight will be back to normal as soon as possible. It sounds as if you went through a tough time, I wish you much strength!

Wishing you well on a speedy recovery Chris. Sounds like you are on your way.

This just pops so well from the BG. Pin sharp, love the wing posture and fanned tail. Well captured

    Chris,

This one looks like it was quite a challenge for EXP and focus and I give you top marks on both. I also wish you a speedy recovery.

    Hi Chris,

Sorry to hear of your difficulties with the eye surgery. I had corrective eye surgery a few years back and it took me a good month to recover. My wife had it done and was good to go the next day. Go figure. Hope you keep improving. Hang in there. Oh, I also like the image. Nice view of the back with wings spread. Sharp and well exposed as expect.
