Hi Kaustubh Big Warm Welcome !!!!

Got your image up PM if you need help uploading Will ge glad to !!!

Would only move the little bird a bit to the left side so it won't be so centered Love the pose and bg Also like the room given up top ratio looks very good !!!

On the tech side might consider giving up some dof for more shutter speed You did manage a sharp image but always get nervous with the low shutter speeds !!! Looking forward to the next one ... don't forget to pm is you need help !!!!

    Hi Kaustubh,
A big warm welcome to the BPN family...I like the image and capture...agree with Mr. Forns on off centering your bird to the left...you have nice sharp details and good color rendition...as a matter of personal taste, I would crop about 1/4 from the top of the frame, to eliminate some of the negative space...once again...welcome to the family...looking forward to your next one...

Great first post, much better that mine. Remember sharpness is critical, so always think open aperture first. Like Al said you could open up at least one f/stop to boost shutter sheet. Try to keep shutter and focal length (FL) close in ratio. In this case your FL was 510MM and SS was 160. Basically a 3 to 1 negative ration and the image looks a tad soft as a result, just think wide open to start and then manage accordingly. In a perfect world the shutter speed would =/> 1/FL. Hence 1/510, or better, not alway easy to do so manage best you can - well done.

Thanks a lot everybody. I will definitely keep the SS and the FL ratio in mind henceforth. Looking forward to more suggestions to help me improve.
    Thanks again.

I agree with moving to the left but I love the space up top and the different shades of green.
