Note: This was taken early evening just before sun down, used the rim light and ambient natural light. Wanted to get the soft tones and glow provided by Mother Nature.
This beauty was painted with a Nikon D300, using a Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D IF-ED macro lens.

Love the light, colors, and exposure. Looks great. I often wrestle with the idea of leaving a bee (or insect) on a flower image of this type. I wonder if it adds to the image or distracts from the main subject?? I like it here and feel it just adds to the mood.
Nice use of ambient lighting, very colorful. Interesting comment regarding the bee. Of course the photographer makes that call and shows us their image. I like the nature look and feel and the bee adds a story line.
Gus, nice and simple and great use of light and color.
Gus...The lighting on this beauty is just great! Nice job! The bg is perfect! I just can't say enough about this> Do you know what flower this is? BTW i think the bee works because of its perfect placement...often isects are a distraction but not in this case
