    Default Green Heron #3

My third post of my session with this little Green Heron taken right at sunset.

I feel the subject is somewhat soft and looks like a slight CW rotation may be needed. However, there are many positives I do like, which are the color on the water, the sticks framing the bird, even if in an unusual way. The OOF bark or stick in the front near the LRC is distracting. Thanks for sharing.

I see the slight 1 cw degree rotation now and I didn't before. The "sticks" is actually the dead branch of a Coconut Palm Tree--the part the coconuts grow on. That's why the unusual pattern. I also see the OOF palm fron in front, but I'm afraid that's beyond my capabilities to clone it out. I'd never get the ripples right.

Although the color of the water and the reflection of the bird are nice, I find the composition distracting especially since the bird is so much darker than the water. Perhaps a little fill flash on the bird may have helped to balance the exposure.

The water is lovely. However in my opinion the bird is too dark and seems to disappear. If it were mine I would select the bird using a quick mask and try lightening it a bit.
