I agree this image does look grainy.Is it a crop? Was your ISO a bit high?
The eye needs to be lightened and sharpened.

Excellent action and catching with a 600 not easy !!! Tech wise I would smooth out the bg and fill the large white area on the lower right, tends to attract away fro the birds !! Will wait for tech info !!!
