    It took me quite a bit of mucking around to come close to actual flower colour. These are orange rather than yellow. 50D and 17/40mm at 40mm, f/8, 1/30 ISO400. Dave

    Dave, Beautiful color orange and nice details in the petals!! I'm not loving the OOF BG on the right side of the image probably because of the lines, not sure if you could blur them or blend them. I do like the overall look to this.

    Tks Denise. I was trying so hard on the petals I did not notice the lines nor how I had blown out the top of the flower. And I still did not get the petals. Dave

    I think a pano crop would make this one better and get rid of the lines. I like the use of DOF.

    Ths Fabs. I was trying to get oof in bg and made a poor selection of frames.
    Milan I am not sure why the lines/bokeh turned out like that because I have others that do not have that. First time I have used the lens like this. Ths for looking
