Well composed and executed Lady Jackie,
This is simply beautiful...I like the center placement of the flower in frame...the color rendition and fine details are superb, the high-key background really showcases your lady quite well ...:) Love your signature copy right too...:D:cool:

Hi Jackie,Not easy to capture 2 of these orchids facing different ways and have the image work. Your technique worked well and you have sharpness throughout. I also like the HK and the position of the top branch. Very well handled!

Excellent Jackie! It has a very dimensional look to it. Great sharpness throughout. The lighting is nice and I see you mastered the high-key nicely! Well done.

Hi Jackie, I like the high key approach, and am impressed at the sharpness from front to back. I really like the image a lot. Nicely done!

I am not familiar with the technique you used other than the link Alfred offered to a tutorial by Fabs in the current assignment. How you did it sounds a little different. Your image makes me have so many questions...

How about this - Do you shoot raw & jpeg simultaneously, and if so, what are the main reasons you do?

And one more, can you suggest a resource for learning the method you used?

    Thanks,

Ron and Bob, I just got lazy and used jpegs. I always shoot RAW with jpegs (for viewing in the camera).
To merge files you just go to Files/Scripts/Load Files Into Stack/(use open files...the files you want to merge)/ check off Attempt to Automatically Align Sources/ Click OK. Takes a while for the program to merge and blend. Save and edit the new file as usual. I think CS3/CS4 does not do as good a job as Helicon Focus which is a dedicated macro program.
