Superb pose, for both the open beak, and raised foot. Those are quite some colours on the beak, and good to see the protruding tongue. What a killer BG too. Well captured Ilija.

Super pose; raised foot, open beak, and protruding tongue! Like the exposure, sharpness, BG, and shallow DOF that leaves the bird perfectly sharp.

    Hi Ilija

We occasionally get these appearing locally but I have yet to find one yet. Excellent image which combines an unusal pose which separates the image from a standard gull potrait, great exposure control and a low angle against a good neutral background. You can't really ask for much more.

    Cheers

Just amazing Ilija. You've managed to make a gull look interesting and attractive all at the same time. Beautiful details and very complimentary angle of view. Top shot!

Nicely done. Good turned back to you head angle. Perfect EXP. Killer BKGR. Loverly raised foot showing the toes. My only wish would be to see the other foot well. Only the bird could have helped you with that.

Low angle with the open beak and the visible tongue makes this a killer.

Thank you for the comments, appreciate very much!
My intention was to shoot some shorebirds, there were none at the beach
but I had great fun with a bunch of lazy gulls. They are excellent birds
    for bird photography.
