    Walking near a river last year , i saw this american brown mink surging from the water.
    I like this picture because of the quietness that arise from its eyes.
    Comments are welcome.

    Congratulations on photographing this species. Not often seen.... I like how the mink is framed by the tree. The sidelighting gives the fur a nice texture. Nice comp with the head of the mink at a pp. Was this cropped it seems a bit pixelated? Fine image here....

    Definitely not a species that is going to pose for you long. As mentioned, framing with the log works well and the BG is not so bright to be distracting. Nice work capturing an image of an elusive species so well.

    The contrast is a bit high and perhaps a mild reverse s-curve would tame that. The whites on the log might look better using the Shadow/Highlight effect and turning up the amount to 25 to 50 and the tonal width to 25 to 50. Something to try but not the only way to build up density in bright whites. Just don't do too much as it will look "muddy."
