    Default Brant Goose

I got out to one of our local Ottawa ponds this morning hoping to locate this uncommon summer visitor. Canon 20D with 200 F/2.8L,F/5.6 @ 1/800 sec, ISO 200, Manual exposure +1/3. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

The head looks just a touch soft. Otherwise a slightly better HA would have been great! Nice as is, I like the balance of FG and BG. Nice colors. Good PP on the whites. :)

Great looking Bird, Nice light and pose. The HA looks Ok as its parrallel to you, as the focus is on the back of the bird you need to sharpen the head. also the frame looks a little tight IMO.

Nice pose, exposure and background. the grass in the bill adds to the image. I have never seen this species eating grass around here.
