After working the farm fields found these birds by the blind, stayed more than a couple of hours but had to break for lunch ... returning for the afternoon they were still there and not sure when they blasted but must have been a good one !!!

Love the image. This looks like a natural white carpet out in the middle of nowhere...:D What makes them blast off Mr. Forns? Do they go by their internal clocks, or perhaps they get spooked by something in their habitat?

Hi Al = WOW would have been awesome to see these guys blast off. I would remove the car - eyes went straight there after the bird. :)

Awesome Al! Are they Snow Geese? Would have been a true blast, like a goose blizzard!!

    Hi Al,
I love the geese as far as the eye can see panoramic composition, and can relate to waiting hours for them to blast-off, trying not to lose mental focus on the split-second reflexes required to take advantage of the event. I'm always reminded of the nature shows showing congregations of birds like this in Africa, and marvel that we can see it here in the US. Thanks for posting your Bosque images, Alfred. They present a great benchmark to aspire to.
