    Default Clay colored sparrow

I was fortunate to spend a couple of mornings in the field with Daniel Cadieux photographing this beautiful little sparrow. Canon 20D with 200 F/2.8L and 2x TC. F/7.1 @ 1/250 sec, ISO 200, manual exposure. Hope you all enjoy and your comments and or suggestions would be appreciated.

Great find, I like the eye contact, pose and BG and would selectively sharpen the head some more. There is a pretty big dust spot in the upper right.

Great capture! Agree with Axel, also nice COMP. Was this a handheld shot with the 200 mm lens?

Lovely BKGR and alert pose. Tripod? (I am thinking no tripod...) Tape?

Hi and Thank you Axel, first for your kind words and for pointing out my dust spot, Keith and Artie it was indeed hand held and audio was used to bring this bird in. He was very comfortable with the use of audio, gleaning insects off branches and calling back to the recording.

Wayne, lovely pose, and I like the lichen on the perch. What is the BG? I agree to apply some sharpening.
