    Looking for Owls at Jack Pine Trail and this guy looked so sad, just had to take his picture. Low light had to raise ISO, no noise..gotta love the D300.
    D300, 200-400 VR w 1.4 TC, 1/50s, F7.1, iso 1000

    I like the pose and slightly raised foot. I wish for a better eye contact/catch light and the whites have a blue cast. Maybe you could raise the color temperature.

    Ditto Axel plus I would suggest a crop from the bottom and then get rid of what's left of the white halo in the lower left. A bit of flash would have brightened the face. All in all, a pleasing image.

    I don't mind the lack of eye contact here, this is what gives it a pensive look for this photo. I only wish the catchlight was brighter.
