The sun kept hiding behind the clouds last night, but the odd
bit of light was enough to keep me shooting., I was very lucky to
have a little bit of catchlight, as it is really something we need
    when photographing Terns.

That's what I call eating in style :)

Adorable. Love the fanned tail, way to hold the fish and the water drops.

I like the action you captured. The position of the wings, the tail fan, the prey, and the water drops all make this an interesting image. The image seems a little cool to me I might try a warm it up a bit and see how that would effect the feel. I would also like to see it at a larger size. Thanks for sharing.

I'd either warm it up or add a little depth to the water with some more contrast maybe? Neat action shot, Raymond.

Love the action in the water and the wing, fish, and tail position. Overall looks too light.... At this resolution hard to tell the eye highlight from a water droplet....

Maybe its just me, but I would prefer if the fish was curled down instead and not obstructing the tern's forehead. Anyhow, you got some amazing action here with the water ripples and drops - very cool! I also love the far wing serving as a backdrop for the head :-)

Edited to 800 high instead of my usual 650... I use a laptop, so I keep the verticals short.

Cloned out the water drops in the face to add attention / clean view of the eye.,

Cloned out a couple of not so attractive spots on the breast.

    Cropped slightly wider.

thanks for the comments and suggestions, much appreciated.

Great timing for the exit Raymond. These exit shots are very difficult, but you nailed this one. I like the wing posture, together with the fanned tail. Im glad he succeeded with his catch.

Love the action going on, just wish for a horizontal framing.
